Shanidev does not need an introduction. He is considered as a ruler of the nine planets ('Saturn') that keep rotating around Sun.  Often He is considered as a cruel one whereas the fact is that He is just the judge but  in fact, the supreme Jury. When we do something bad we don't feel ashamed of that. We fail to feel the pangs of pain that we may be inflicting onto the victim. But when Shani delivers the judgement (mostly as 'Tit for Tat') we end up scolding Him as a sin planet and cruel planet.
